Meet Jordan Steel

Jordan, a true student of woodworking and guitar building, has dedicated his life to the pursuit of craftsmanship and artistic expression. With a lifelong passion for working with wood, Jordan’s journey as an artisan began at an early age, honing his skills and immersing himself in the intricate world of woodworking.

Born into a family of artisans, Jordan was surrounded by creativity and craftsmanship from an early age. Guided by his father, a skilled woodworker, he developed a deep appreciation for the beauty and versatility of this natural material. As he grew older, his fascination with music led him to explore the art of guitar making, combining his two great loves: woodworking and music.

Through countless hours of study, practice, and hands-on experience, Jordan cultivated a profound understanding of the art of guitar building. Meticulously selecting the finest materials, he expertly shapes, carves, and assembles each guitar with meticulous attention to detail. His dedication to his craft is evident in every instrument he creates, as he seeks to capture the perfect balance between aesthetics, playability, and tonal quality.

Jordan has had formal education at the Philadelphia Carpenters JAC as well as the Galloup School of Guitar Building and Repair, where he completed their master program. During this time, Jordan completed training to become certified as an authorized repair technician for Taylor Guitars. He has professional experience in the carpentry, cabinetmaking, and wood refinishing industries. In addition to his small business. Jordan works full time as a bench cabinetmaker at a high end furniture shop. Outside of the shop, Jordan can be found educating music at local high schools.
